Perk of house sitting and not putting the TV on I guess.
Reckless continues the story of Paedyn and her escape from Ilya after killing the King. With a bounty on her head after Kai is forced into duty by the new king, Kitt.
After hiding out in her childhood home until Kai appears and burns it to ash, she has no other choice but to take to the scorches.
It looks like she's going to have to hide for the rest of her life because every place has been informed that that bounty is if she's dead or alive.
When Kai finally tracks her down, that duty starts to crumble. As much as they hate each other, their feelings haven't gotten the memo. And they literally have to trek back to Ilya, regardless of the escape attempts and near death experiences.
And through the trek.. duty vanishes and love wins out ... I guess.
I liked the book, really I did.
But it felt like it took Paedyn a week to get to Dor and Kai and Paedyn took 2 weeks to get back. It was easy to spot what would happen. when things heated between them both, it would vanish. When they made progress there was an attack. It was predictable. Could the story ahve been shorter? yes?
And was I expecting the punishment for the crime? NOPE! I thought the steal she'd receive would be a sword, not a ring. But it certainly kept me intrigued as to how the hell this was going to play out. especially since that ring was from Kitt!
Lets hope Fearless solves this quickly.
